Awqaf Organization Congratulates Kargar on Winning Malaysia Int’l Quran Contest
According to the website of the organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi in his message described Kargar’s success as a great achievement.
He also stressed that the country’s Quranic elites, who have made achievements thanks to the Islamic Revolution, should be introduced to society in order that the Quranic culture and teachings further spread in society.
Hajihassni Kargar, who represented the Islamic Republic of Iran in the recitation category of Malaysia’s 57th International Holy Quran Competition, managed to win the first rank in this category.
It was the first time in 9 years that an Iranian bagged the first prize in this annual Quran contest.
This year’s international Quranic event was held at Putra World Trade Center in Malaysia’s capital of Kuala Lumpur on June 9-14.
