Top Qari, Memorizer of Tehran Province Announced
Following contests in the final stages of different categories in the men’s section, winners of top ranks in each category were announced by the panel of judges.
According to the panel, Mohammad Javad Delfani came first in memorization of the entire Quran.
In recitation, Vahid Khazaei bagged the top prize and in Tarteel, the first-rank winner was Reza Arabi Mehrbani.
The winners of the women’s section had been announced earlier.
Those who came first in different categories have made it to the national stage, which will be hosted by the northwestern city of Orumiyeh, West Azarbaijan province.
The Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization annually organizes the Quranic event with the aim of promoting the teachings of the Holy Quran, fostering Quranic activities and identifying the country’s Quranic talents.
