‘Ambassadors of Quran’ Plan for Iraqi Quran Activists

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A new plan titled “ambassadors of Quran” has been launched by the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq, to promote interaction and cooperation among Iraqi Quran Activists and institutes.

According to alkafeel.net, the plan is an innovation of the Quranic Projects Center affiliated to the Holy Quran Institutes of the Astan.

As a part of the plan, a Quranic delegation has been dispatched by the Astan to different provinces of Iraq to meet with the directors of Quranic institutes and associations of the regions.

Seyyed Husnayn Hulw, director of the center, said that the message of the “Ambassadors of Quran” is to promote cooperate and interaction among all Quranic institutes of Iraq in order to create a bright Quranic future.

Various Quranic projects conducted to serve the Quranic society of Iraq have also been investigated in the meetings of the group.

Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.

There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the country in recent years.
