Speaking in a gathering in Nabatieh in southern Lebanon on Saturday, the senior cleric said Hezbollah had two options in the face of occupation and aggression: “either to resist and defend our land or surrender our land and the future of our children.”
He said Hezbollah chose the first option and made great achievements, including liberation of Lebanon from Zionist occupation in 2000.
Sheikh Qassem added that dealing blows to the roots of the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group in the region was another great achievement of the resistance movement.
“We insist on continuing the resistance and are positive that we will be victorious, which is the outcome of resistance,” he went on to say.
