Ramadan Quranic Sessions in Damascus
The Imam Khomeini Mosque, the only mosque of Shia Muslims in Seyyedah Zeynab region and the Mosalla of the holy shrine have been hosting the Quranic programs on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Educational Quranic circles for children and teenagers, daily Quran reading and congregational prayers, and fast breaking ceremonies are among the programs of the office at the mosque.
A daily workshop on Islamic ethics is another program held at the mosque after the evening prayers with some 50 participants.
The mosque will also host a ceremony on the birthday anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS) on the 15th of the holy month of Ramadan.
Special programs have been planned by the office to be organized at the mosque and the holy shrine on the Qadr nights and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).
A book reading competition, I’tikaf ceremonies on Ramadan 26-28 and a program on the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA) are the other programs of the office in the holy month.
The office’s programs at the holy shrine of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) include Quran reading sessions and circles on Tajweed principles, Quranic teachings and injunctions.
There are also Quran interpretation sessions addressed by Ayatollah Tabatabayi Ashkezari, representative of the Leader in Syria after the evening prayers and fast breaking ceremony.
