TEHRAN (IQNA) – On the third day of Hajj, coinciding with Eid al-Adha, the ritual of Rami al-Jamarat (Stoning of the Devil) was held by pilgrims with the full observance of the health protocols to prevent spread of the coronavirus.
The Stoning of the Devil is part of the annual Islamic Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
During the ritual, Muslim pilgrims throw pebbles at three walls, called Jamarat, in the city of Mina just east of Mecca.
