Regional Quranic Seminar Opens in Medina
According to Naseej online newspaper, the World Association for Quran Memorization also cooperated in the organization of the seminar held under the supervision of the Research Center of Medina.
The three-day event was planned in line with the special programs to commemorate “Medina, the cultural capital of the world of Islam in 2013”.
Representatives from active Quranic institutes and organizations of the city including King Fahd Complex for Printing and Publication of the Holy Quran, custodianship of the Great Mosque in Medina (Al-Majjid Al-Nabawi), the Holy Quran Faculty affiliated to the Islamic University of Medina , Quranic studies section of Taibah University, the World Association of Quran’s Scientific Miracle and Tibyan Scientific Association participated in the seminar.
Introduction of activities of the holy city’s Quranic institutes, coordination of efforts and development of cooperation between Quranic institutes, exchange of scientific and official experience between the institutes, promotion of the skills of the institutes’ staff and planning joint scientific projects with the aim of serving different groups of people in the society are the main objectives of the seminar.
The participants at the program will also discuss the real situation in the Quranic institutes and identify scientific, official, educational and economic problems faced by the institutes and try to propose solutions to promote the Quran teaching level through development of methods for planning and evaluating the Quranic activities.
The seminar also aims to investigate approaches for making the best use of new technologies in teaching Quran, encourage the Quran activists and experts in this field to interact and exchange their experiences to reach a joint scientific, educational and official viewpoint and to revive the educational role of the Quranic institutes.
