Iranian Movie Wins 10th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival

A film by Iranian director Salem Salavati was selected as the best movie in the 10th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.

Salavati was awarded the Best directing of the full-length feature film prize for his movie "The Last Winter", IQNA's Europe branch reported.
The festival wrapped up Friday night at Pyramid Conventions Hall in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The awarded for the best script of the full-length feature film was given to Marcio Curi, the scriptwriter of "The Last Shop".
Kazan International Muslim Film Festival has been held in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2005. The first festival was initiated by the Council of Muftis of Russia, Federal agency for culture and cinematography of Russia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The motto of the festival is “Dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogue”.
