According to al-Sharq daily, a court in Hafar Al-Batin city in the Eastern province has handed down the ruling.
The man who was found guilty of Irtidad (apostasy) is said to be 20 years old.
He has desecrated Islamic sanctities and values by Sabb al-Nabi (insulting the Prophet), tearing pages of the Quran and posting pictures of his blasphemous act on social media.
