Islamic Jihad Chief Lauds Iran’s Support for Palestine
Speaking to Al-Mayadeen TV network, Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shalah described the movement’s relations with Iran as very good and said Tehran’s backing for Palestine is unwavering.
“I recently held talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on various issues related to Palestine,” he noted.
Iran’s (supportive) stances towards Palestine do not wary according to different conditions but they are based on a strategic standpoint, Abdullah added, Fars news agency reported.
He went on to say that the issue of Palestine has a special status in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Since the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the Islamic Republic has always backed the cause of Palestine and the oppressed Palestinian people’s struggle against the Zionist regime.
