Iran Nat’l Quran Contest: Those Advancing to Second Round Named

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The names of those making it to the national round of Iran’s 45th national Quran competition were announced on Thursday.

The Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization has announced the names.

It said the preliminary round was held in 28 provinces of the country in different categories, including Quran memorization, recitation and Tarteel, and the top contenders were named.

In the three remaining provinces, namely Charmahal and Bakhtiari, Hormozgan, and Lorestan, the provincial round will conclude next week, the center added.

The final round is slated to be held in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in the month of Dey (December 2022-January 2023).

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
