In their final statement, the members of the panel of judges called on related organizations and influential bodies to take stances against such moves and make efforts to promote the Quranic culture and education in families, society, schools, universities, and elsewhere.

They said it is necessary for Quran activists to develop their interactions in order to counter attempts at undermining the sanctity of the Holy Book.

Elsewhere in the statement, the panel hailed the good organization of the competition and its compliance with technical standards.

They also thanked the custodian of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, the head of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the shrine’s Astan (custodianship) and others who contributed to and supported the holding of the Quranic event.

The competition, held on July 9-13, featured 54 contestants in the memorization and recitation categories. They represented more than 30 holy shrines and mosques from 10 Arab and Islamic countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

The contest was judged by a panel of 15 renowned experts in various Quranic fields.
