Among those honored for their Quranic achievement were 350 boys and girls who have learned the entire Holy Quran by heart.
The rest of them have memorized half or one-fourth of the Holy Book, CAIRO24 website reported.
A number of Egyptian scholars and thinkers, Al-Azhar officials, media representatives and other groups of people attended the ceremony.
