The recitations by Hamid Haqtalab and Seyed Parsa Angoshtan have been warmly received by Muslims in the East Asian country.

The two, who have been dispatched by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in Ramadan, performed recitations in mosques in the capital Beijing as well as the province of Qinghai.

A number of Iftar (fast-breaking) events were also held in Beijing and in Qinghai in honor of the two reciters.

As well as taking part in Quranic programs, Haqtalab and Angoshtan visited a number of historic mosques and Muslim libraries.

They also learned about the Quran recitation styles of China’s Muslims and organized a Tajweed workshop for students of Quranic sciences.
